I hired him to install a gable fan in the attic and replace a motor and thermostat on an existing roof fan. He came quickly within a day or 2, and got the job done. He didn't say much, or discuss the temperature settings with me. I called him back once because the fan wasn't running and it was very hot outside. He came and went up in the attic and said it was running (I did not hear it, and it is loud). When fall came, and temps were cool in the 40's and 50's (which was about 4 months since the original job) I called and left messages on his voicemail and emailed him that the fan was still running constantly in spite of the cool temps. He never returned my calls. I then called the fan mfg. and they said the humidistat was set too high. I had to hire someone else to come and reset the temps, which only took a few minutes, and immediately corrected the problem. We were unable to go up the pull down stairs into the attic to do this ourselves because we are senior citizens and my husband is handicapped, which the contractor was aware of. I would not use him again because he did not return my calls.
