Black Metal & Asphalt Roof

Oct 2017

This newly constructed house built by Anderson Homes had BCI Exteriors install the roof which consisted of both metal standing seam sections as well as asphalt shingles. To compliment the home’s tan exteriors, they decided on a black roof. The asphalt was CertainTeed’s Landmark shingles in the color Moire Black to match the black steel standing seam. The standing Seam roof sections can be found on the window awnings, the barrel porch roof, and the window dormers.

Picture Bay Window

Jul 2017

These homeowners needed to replace the second-floor bay window. The home was originally built in 1999 and the existing bay window had a broken seal, which was letting in water and creating rot in the window’s structure. A new picture window was put into place and re-framed.

Siding and Deck Transformation

Jun 2017

This home was originally built in 1978 along the Little Muskego Lake. The homeowners wanted to construct a new patio deck above a section of the home that overlooked their backyard and the lake. A rubber roof was put down underneath the deck to protect the home from moisture. In addition to a new deck, the entire home was re-sided with new James Hardie plank, shake, and trim. The soffit and fascia were also updated when the new gutters were installed.

Roof & Siding Reflections

Apr 2017

This lovely home received a new roof and siding from BCI Exteriors. They selected Owens Corning TruDefinition – Sandcastle color for the roof and James Hardie lap siding with a six-inch reveal in khaki brown. The home’s well-manicured lawn, large deck, and landscaping posed a challenge when under construction, but we at BCI recognize the importance of such things, and took extra precautions to preserve the integrity of the areas around the house too. With the use of tarps, plywood, and temporary protective structures around key landscape features, we were able to ensure nothing was damaged.

In addition to new windows, new Quality Edge soffit and fascia was installed along the perimeter of the roof. Special soffit lighting was also added above the front door to increase visibility at night

Before & After Home Transformation

Sep 2016

Homeowners wanted to freshen the look of their 1942 Colonial home. They chose BCI to update the design of their home and entirely redo its exterior with new James Hardie siding. In addition to new siding, BCI carpenters custom-designed and built the porticoes. The front porch portico was an arched-hipped style awning. The left front window also had an awning constructed to match the front porch and add balance to the overall aesthetic of the home itself. The look was completed with complimenting the copper gutters and downspouts.

Striking Manor Roof

Jan 2016

Wood shakes have been used for centuries. They are split from logs and are left as-is to retain the textured, rough-hewn effect. In keeping with the home’s traditional appeal, the building was covered with heavy cedar shake; the family’s gazebo was also re-roofed to match. This house also got new copper half round gutters. Copper gutters require little maintenance because they are soldered (instead of caulked like aluminum gutters) and have stronger hangers, allowing them to hold up against even the fiercest Wisconsin winter.
