Ryan Small & Companies Inc.

My experience with this roofer has been mixed. In April of 2018 Idaho Falls was hit with a major hail storm. All local roofers were busy, so we went with a Meridian company recommended by our insurance company. We were happy with the person Ryan Small had overseeing his company's roof replacements in Southeast Idaho. Within a year, however, we were experiencing some roof leakage. We were later to learn that the boots around the pipes were defective, that there had been a lawsuit filed against the company that had made the boots and the boots would be replaced without cost. After a period of time, Ryan sent someone to replace the boots. January 2020 our roof began leaking again, damaging our master bedroom ceiling. Over a period of two months I tried again and again to have have someone from the Ryan Small company return to assess the problem. My phone calls, texts and emails were ignored. I finally hired another company to repair the roof. That company found that the boots had never been replaced, the pipes had only been caulked. The caulking was breaking down, hence the roof leakage. Though the company I hired did verify that the original roofing done by the Ryan Small was quality work (something I attribute to the person overseeing the work in Idaho Falls and who is no longer with the company), I would never recommend this company to someone else.
