Cardinal Painting

Hired this company to paint the interior of our new to us home. When we saw the finished results we were horrified. Not one wall in the house was painted or cut in correctly. We ended up having to paint the entire home ourselves with help from friends and family.

The quality of this painter is POOR. He painted over light switches, didn't caulk as needed, spilled oil base paint on my wood floors, painted over a dusty ledge. The painting was streaked and did not cover the undercoat. I had to hire a PROFESSIONAL to redo his poor work. Charged me for the paint and when I asked him for the receipts he told me not to "Nickel and Dime Him" and walked off the job before he finished & after I paid him. This guy is a FLAK. Stay away at all costs.

Hired to paint both interior & exterior of house. Initially started out well but rapidly deteriorated. I was totally renovating the house and had contractors, tilers, kitchen installers, plumbers and more scheduled to do various tasks. Floors were removed and the house was totally bare which I thought would be great for painting. I tried to schedule Jan (owner) to work in front of tilers and other work being performed, however; he would not respond to emails in a timely manner and went days without responding. I gave him access to the property whereby he could come at his leisure to work, however; he seldom announced when he was coming and when he left .... never said when he would return. It came to a head when I needed him to finish areas where workmen would be starting and I couldn't get in contact with him. I ultimately had to hire another company to totally repaint what he started as the work was not adequate. Previous paint bled through on the walls everywhere, 95% of the trim was not started after almost two months on the job. He claims he completed 75% of the work. I guess that's up to a court to decide. Be very careful when dealing with this company.

Honestly, I could not be more dissatisfied with the job. We agreed on a price to paint the whole unit. You can see several areas where you can see you previous color through, several door jams were not painted, and he showed up for left before painting the shoe molding.
