Sawmill Custom Cabinets

Cabinet boxes are made by Sawmill but doors and drawer fronts are made by a third party. They used Blum slides and hinges which are top-of-the-line. After installation, the buffet cabinets were too low and our wine refrigerator would not fit under the countertop (we provided exact measurements). They would not resolve. Also had problems with the glass inserts to the doors - these were safety glass which they tried to cut and of course broke into a 1000 pieces - they replaced with non-safety glass hoping we would not notice. The new glass is streaked and will not clean up. The biggest disappointment is that we ordered inset cabinets (a display of craftsmanship) which once installed had different size gaps and the gaps were in some places 1/4 inch. Industry standard is a maximum of 1/8 inch and true professionals will make these at 3/32 inch. The stain they applied was a gray colored stain which also was sub par. I strongly would not recommend The Sawmill for cabinetry unless it was for a garage. Follow up: We recently had a flood in our house and so, I contacted Sawmill Cabinets to obtain a bid for repair and to no avail. They would not answer the phone nor would they return my phone calls. So, I decided to visit the office and spoke with Dallin the owner. He explained that because I wrote a poor review, he would not grant me a quote. Since Sawmill manufactured and painted our cabinets, our insurance company wanted us to obtain the quote from them, otherwise we would not have used them. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Sawmill produces superior quality cabinetry, but they also provide professional and friendly service. They are honest and easy to work with. We purchased and gutted an existing home. Our new cabinets are beautiful and exactly what we wanted. We highly recommend them.
