When Andrew answered my call for someone to do skirting on my mobile and fix storm damaged awning he walked around and nodded his head and said I could do this for 350.00, he counted panels figured what he might need then said "well 450.00 I asked for his business card and he told me that he doesn't have any so That was my first sign, he showed up Friday morning and wanted 200.00 for supplies and he took off with 2 other guys for Home Depot( that's what he told me) after he came back he told me he bought everything he needed and that he had the receipts to prove it, Turns out the panels were not new he claims he bought them off of a friend and he paid for them..again no receipts, Andrew and his friend started working and about 2 hours later Andrew comes to me saying "ok, I figured out my cost, my labor and can do it all for475.00 I told him that he can't keep changing on me just because he's talking to his buddy! When he left at 3:00 pm I gave him an additional 280.00 in cash that was supposed to be a the final payment. Andrew shows up Saturday to finish the job with a girl.. no problem, he comes to me to me saying he's done, I have different colored panels, but the work was done, now the awning, several screws across the top ( which all are poking through) he knocks on my door saying I think I need. 44 more dollars! I have no more money and he knew I just had foot surgery and cannot go anywhere, then he emails me a very short receipt of his work and that I can mail the remaining 127.00 to his address!! Lesson learned, get it in writing on first quote, I have already submitted a letter to Porch and they are looking into it.
