Colby has always been interested in taking things a part and fixing them (admittedly, sometimes just to figure out how it works). Ever since he was a boy, he was always building things out of legos, blocks, lincoln logs or whatever he could find. From an early age, he knew his future would be helping others take pride in their own projects, whether it being a simple fix to a full home build. Colby first started his home maintenance career working for Home Depot. In his seven years there, he worked in all departments, eventually moving into managment. While working, he attended Arizona State University, focusing his studies on construction and architecture. Colby then ventured to Ohio where he worked for Nutter Handyman Services and attended Columbus State University to continue his education in construction and real estate. It was here that Colby honed his knowledge and craftsmanship of the home improvement. Colby knew that he wanted to move back to Arizona to be around family and continue to repair and improve homes in the Valley of the Sun.
