(a Federally sponsored community housing org.) our father, Rogelio LLaurado, was personally responsible for building and delivering dozens of homes to the people of this rural community in Apopka Florida. For this he was awarded the "Golden Hammer" Merit on November 15, 1977. The award reads "For skillful use of Hammer and Heart in the cause of The self-Help Housing Program". The name "Golden Hammer", since then, has been associated with a family owned and operated remodeling company. Erected on the values and principles for which our founding father was originally awarded. Hard work, integrity, and social responsibility.
