Snapp Industries

Snapp Industries, Inc. was licensed in March 1957 as a sandblasting and waterproofing contractor with Charles A. Snapp, president, and Charles R. Snapp as vice-president. In 1960, Snapp Industries, Inc. purchased Watson Contracting and Gunite Co. and undertook gunite, pressure grouting, and soil stabilization as an adjunct to its current operations. In 1962, as a result of numerous swimming pool restoration projects and requests for additional services within the swimming pool industry, Snapp Industries, Inc. began to offer complete finished renovation work on existing residential swimming pools. This work consisted of sandblasting and installation of new coping, tile, and plaster finish coats. In 1964, this service was extended to commercial as well as residential pools. Within this same time frame, the gunite and pressure grouting divisions were expanded to cover seawall renovation which included the rebuilding and repair of existing seawalls, both residential and commercial. In 1968, the firm expanded into federal government and state road department projects covering all phases of concrete restoration. In 1973, Charles A. Snapp passed away and Charles R. Snapp became president. In 1974, our current 25,000 square ft. plant and yard facility was constructed to accommodate expanded operations. In 1977, Allan Snapp (3rd generation) became vice-president. In 1978, as a result of increasing volume of structural repair work and the incidence of epoxy injection as specified in various plans, Charles R. Snapp attended the "Sika Epoxy School" in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, and was licensed as a certified applicator. Allan Snapp attended and was licensed two years later. In December of 1983, Snapp Industries purchased the assets and took over the general operations of Campbell-Settle Pressure Grouting Company. In 1996, Charles R. Snapp retired and Allan Snapp became president. In 2003, Allan's son Jason Snapp graduated from Florida State University, and became vice-president of Snapp Industries, Inc. Jason also obtained his general contractor's license allowing Snapp Industries, Inc. to provide services throughout the entire state of Florida. Allans' youngest son Brandon Snapp joined the family business in 2007. Together Jason & Brandon (4th generation) manage the companies day-to-day operations.
