Great service and beautiful products from Michigan City Interiors. Don Young is knowledgeable about his products and he works cooperatively and fairly with customers. Noah installed our wooden blinds to perfection. We've used this company before and we will use it again. Two thumbs up for Don, Cheryl and Noah‼️

Ok lawsuit is over. We ended paying them $200 plus our attorney fees. Be careful with these people. It cost us $$ plus months of aggravation. It's just not worth it. They are not honest. They are selling a business that has been around for years and had a great reputation. However they have only owned the business a few years and are selling their cut rate service using the established business reputation. Even their advertising is dishonest. They are Cherdon LLC. So be careful. If they get injured while working in your home you can be sued and they can write the legal cost off under their LLC. Caution. You can do better. Go to Chicago or Valpo. We tried to support a local business and it did not go well. Ended up going to a Chicago company, a little more expensive but so hassle free and we got our product. Beware.

June 2015, ordered about 7k in draperies, rods, shades. Paid deposit of 3.5k. Was told order would arrive by mid July. August no word so we started calling. More often than not, no answer or given multiple excuses. Even told that we were not their only customer, or Cheryl Young would get rude, say she had a migrain and hang up. We stopped by their shop several times, front doors open, no one around? After multiple attempts to get a straight answer, in Sept they said they had some if the order but the rest was not made because the seamstresses were out of the material ordered. Ok.. finally we knew something. I told them to bring what they had completed. Some guy shows up with what he called a roman shade, made of the wrong material and like a pillow case, one double traverse rod and one set of pinch pleated sheers that did not look custom made. He told us he wasnt going to hang the rest of what he supposedly had because the drapes were cut for single not double hung. So he left. Here it is mid Sept. we have a pillowcase on one window and a set of pretty ugly pinch pkeated sheers on the other. We finally told them to cancel the order and give us our $3500 deposit back. They refused until we sent a certified letter telling them we were prepared to take them to court. They finally refunded our deposit in November 2015. So now November and we no drapes. When i asked Don Young the owner what he wanted me to do with the 3 items delivered he said just to keep them. Then late Jan 2016 he calls and asked for the items back? Lucky for him we still had the items, so my wife dropped them off at their store in Feb 2016. Of course no one was in the shop so she layed the items down and left. So now summer 2016 we get a notice from an attorney that Don & Cheryl Young are suing us for $690?? These people are basket cases. Rude, very unprofessional, liars. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of MC Interiors. FYI, they purchased a company with a great reputation, but this is NOT the same owners. Don & Cheryl Young are scammers.
