Buckeye Neighborhood Sunroom with ADA Elevator and Phase 2 Basement Remodel

Jan 2014

The homeowners of this ADA home required an elevator to improve their son's quality of life by allowing him to utilize their newly finished basement. To make the elevator blend into their space rather than become an industrial eye sore, we created display shelves with some creative drywall work and custom quarter-sawn oak shelving.

Nakoma neighborhood first floor remodel

Jan 2014

The homeowners of this old Colonial wanted to open up their floor plan while providing their home with a higher quality finish. Their traditional tastes and need for better sight lines into adjacent rooms led this project to becoming an uniquely elegant first floor. All new natural oak floors flow through the kitchen and new family room and connect to the new dining room.A contrasting island is a focal point that provides the homeowner with extra prep space that can also be used as a buffet. Rather than install a stair railing, we installed a custom cabinet that lines the top of the staircase, providing the couple with extra dining room storage and a wine rack! After removing the porch windows, we installed a new bay window with matching grilles, which gives the home a higher finish and traditional look. This space had a lower ceiling height, so we had to use only half of the thickness of casing around the archways, which matches the windows exactly. A custom corner TV cabinet provides the homeowners with space saving storage for electronics. The big screen TV is in a central location for anyone sitting at the built in table and new family room. The unique built in table provides this kitchen with bar seating while allowing the space to feel be as open to the family room as possible. Much planning went into how we would attach substantial counter top supports and cased archways to this feature.

Shorewood Hills 2-Story Addition and Whole House Remodel

Aug 2013

The homeowners of this colonial home were in need of a master suite. We put on a 2-story addition that took up the space where their previous screen porch was located. A curved Moistureshield deck was put at the rear of the home, making a wonderful back yard, while we added an overhang at the front, finishing it off with a new paint job. Curb appeal improved greatly.

Waunakee Curb Appeal

Oct 2011

The homeowner was in need of a balcony and doors to his 2nd story office space. This turned into an entire deck and exterior make over. Tired of the suburban beige color of his exterior that is so typical of any suburb of Wisconsin, and also in need of siding repair due to the previous owner's installation job, we installed cement board siding in a green reminiscent of Wisconsin's beautiful prairies. Our electrician worked up some magic with some recessed lighting under the soffit and balcony, creating the perfect place to entertain while grilling. A creative corner bench was created to avoid putting railings on the deck, creating a beautiful open space while providing some interesting and comfortable seating. Moisture Shield no maintenance deck system with ballusters in two tone as well as skirt in two tone. Balcony covered in Deck Tech. By using the Deck Tech, we created a moisture proof and cool surface to walk on while draining the water through a pcv pipe going to the ground level. Before: A taupe exterior blends in completely with the rest of the neighborhood. The homeowner could visualize exactly where he wanted a balcony to his 2nd story office.

West High Neighborhood Kitchen Remodel

Jul 2011

The homeowners of this early 1900s Craftsman home wanted to create a kitchen that better allowed them to efficiently prepare food while providing them with improved storage features. The window casing in the kitchen did not match the original woodwork found in the rest of the house, which was very unique to their home. Luckily, our highly skilled craftsman were able to recreate it, while our designer pulled everything together for a very well coordinated design. Make use of every inch! A corner shelf over the two corner windows creates a beautiful display area for the homeowner's pottery. The back splash tile included two rows of 3x6 subway tiles, followed by a 6" band of tile mosaic, and topped with another two rows of 3x6 subway tiles. The end result: a very eye-catching backsplash that pulls in the paint and cabinet colors. The 12" pantry cabinets line the side wall of this kitchen, creating plenty of space for traffic flow, while providing comfortable and sufficient pantry storage. The homeowners got a bit spoiled with this wall mount radiator/coat rack combination. Who wouldn't mind having one of these for the Wisconsin winters?! The best use of a corner, if possible, is a corner sink. These corner facing windows create a gorgeous focal point in the room, while allowing views to the homeowner's gardens.

Waunakee Castle Bath

Oct 2010

This homeowner came to us hoping to have his bathroom remodeled to fit a few Kohler spa fixtures into his bathroom. The current bathroom was better suited for a couple, and was complete with the honey oak trim and vanity. It couldn't have been further from the homeowner's style. We got to talking about the homeowner's family crests he had on his wall and before long, a castle themed bathroom was in the works!
