DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!!! My wife & I contracted Al to construct a deck in the front of our house in April 2014. My wife signed the contract and had paid in full in cash in July 2014. We fully expected work to have been completed no later than late August. During this time Al would sporadically show up smelling of alcohol, do a little work then leave. we would call or text frequently and after a long period of calls or texts, he would respond with a litany of excuses from bad weather to a heart attack. The lack of communication was horrendous. We are requesting a refund and very well may seek a legal option within a week. We are stuck with one third of a deck that might not even be sound and other contractors are willing to take over the job.
