Jeff Myers Construction Inc.

Jeff Myers Construction was hired to build a front porch, install a new roof and replace all the soffits on my home. The contract was supposed to be substantially completed on or before March 2020. When the contractor removed the front steps the front door went from working perfectly to not being able to close it, the contractor tried to fix it but just got frustrated and said he would take care of it when the slab was done. After two months of not being able to use the front door and no word from the contractor I went ahead and fixed the door myself. The contractor completed the first phase on Jan 27th 2020 and I did not hear from him until I called him on April 25th 2020 to find out when he was going to finish the job. I was told that since I had issues with the concrete slab because it had many low spots that water would puddle right where you stepped out of the front door so he decided to put my project on the back burner and if I wanted him to complete the job that I had no say in the work being done on my house that he was in charge and that when he was done then I would be allowed to make a list of issues. Because he had blown off the previous problems I had little confidence that anything would be resolved. The manner in which the contractor spoke to me was very unprofessional and because there had been issues with everything that he had done up to that point I decided that I would cut my losses and fire the contractor. I told him he was an #%*^% idiot for speaking to me the way he had and his reply was for me to come say it to his face so he could crack my jaw. I do not appreciate being physically threatened and do not recommend this contractor. He is a bit unstable he was constantly dog cussing his employee and unfortunately my grandchild had to be there a few times while he was doing it. He likes to talk about how great he is as a contractor but I could not tell by the work that was done at my home. And even if he was as good as he claims it would not be worth it for the total lack of communication and the lack of professionalism.
