My name is Joe Vsetula, and I am a part of every phase of every job Re-New Construction takes on. We are a three man team. We operate in Merced, Turlock, Modesto, Manteca, Tracy and Stockton, and have been in business for 28 years. Everything is hand-built. Our cabinets are not made from particle board. We use Kelly Moore paint.

I had good results with Re-New Construction, aka Joe Vsetula. He's a skilled trades contractor with 30 years experience in the business, from minor repair to full-room additions. I contacted Joe through porch.com, and he responded to my inquiry within 48 hours. I sent him a list of repairs to be done for an estimate. Repairs: - replace 12 fluorescent lighting inserts with LED retrofit light kits I bought from Costco - replace a gate clasp with one that's compatible with a high-security lock - replace a bedroom closet sliding door with a hole and haul away the old door - fix some kitchen drawer railings - remove a defunct water softener and re-do the connecting pipes - remove a dog gate - fix and re-paint a door jamb left over from a prior handyman's partial completion - Move side gate up to stop it from scraping the ground - Mount a utility cabinet in a utility closet Joe scheduled a site visit within 3 business days of receiving the list to create an estimate, and he showed up exactly on time for the site visit. He called me that evening with an itemized NTE estimate, and I scheduled the job. Joe called me as he was en route the day of the job to let me know that traffic would delay him a bit, which I appreciated. When he arrived, he did some preliminary investigation of the lighting fixtures to determine what hardware would be necessary, and he hauled the broken door to Home Depot to ensure the right color match with the new door. He returned with all the parts and supplies necessary for the job, and did all the repairs in a timely manner. He definitely earned his money, as some of the tasks required more effort than he initially expected. I'm pleased with the quality and extent of Joe's expertise and happily recommend his services.
