Very disappointed This company was referred and recommended to us. We specifically hired them to pitch the yard and have pavers installed. The contractor who quoted us, Marvin, explained the whole process of how he was going to pitch away from the house by adding extra soil, my husband would lift the outside A/C units and put piping leading the water into the street. We also added the outside basement door to be dug up and waterproofed. The first job, which was for 750 sq feet of pavers and the supposed pitching work was priced at $12,300.00 - for the basement door work, $3,200.00. It is our fault that we did not proof read the first contract carefully. Lesson learned. we trusted that they were an honest company. We made it painfully clear that pitching the yard was the most important part and the main reason of this project. There were 3 people present when we explained to Marvin about the water accumulation with heavy rains. Marvin measured the inconsistency in the ground, where it was high and low, and stated that the dirt would have to pitch several inches from the house. The pitching was never done. Per Marvin, since the pitching was not initially written on the contract, he then told my husband that he would have to come back and finish the job. He quoted us in the range of $1,000- $2,000. We asked for another contract stating that. He stated that he would get it from the office and return as soon as weather permitted. Needless to say, it has been almost 2 months since this job started and the pitching has not been completed. After numerous messages to Marvin, my husband called and spoke to the owner. The owner stated that Marvin did not have the authority to give us a price or a time frame. The owner then stated that the pitching job would be an additional $6,200 and would get started in September. My husband explained to him that the initial job was for pavers and pitching, however, the owner would not budge since it was not written down. I have 3 young children and the yard is an absolute mess. They have not been able to fully use it and we cannot even use the backyard for barbeque get togethers. Their work was subpar and I regret choosing them for this job. Unless you want to pay for delayed and unfinished work, this company is not for you.
