To set the record straight, during our discussion with Gordon, we were told in person he would have the shower door removed and replaced for safety so we could have his error fixed at our own expense. After repeated texts and emails with no response, he did not stand by his word and told us he didn’t have insurance and that it was our problem to correct. A building error is a building error, regardless of when the issue became apparent. This is not only a building error, but a huge safety issue.

I would be extremely cautious using Gordon Keil for home construction. Gordon was the builder of our home and not only did we find many corners cut, but the largest one was the shower door installation. They blatantly missed the support beam to drill in the door to the wall, and instead of correcting the mistake, they left it only drilled into the drywall. We confronted Gordon and he said it was not his fault nor would he help to remedy the situation. In the end, his ability to manage a project, hire the right professionals, and incorporate quality controls is lacking on all accounts.
