Dreamscaping, Inc. is a remodeling company that specializes in basements and bathrooms. My Tag Line is "Anywhere mold goes, so do I!" I am a licensed general contractor in the state of Minnesota, License #BC403560, and insured as required by the state. I operate within an approximately 30 mile radius of Northfield. Since I don't run crews, I can do smaller projects that many people say they have a hard time finding a contractor that will do smaller jobs. As well as basements and bathrooms, I do room renovations, ceramic tile work, and interior repairs.

We had a wonderful experience with Scott Elemer and Dreamscaping, Inc.! Scott was thorough in his communication from start to finish on our basement remodel project. Everything from the initial contract agreement to any changes were reduced to writing and signed off by the parties so there was no misunderstanding later. The workmanship was superb! Scott is on site for all phases of the project including the subcontractors. The subcontractors have worked with Scott for a long time and exhibit the same high quality standards that Dreamscaping,Inc. demonstrates. Big remodeling jobs like ours are naturally disruptive and dirty from our experience. The dirt and disruption was held to an absolute minimum during the course of our project--the jobsite was always organized and cleaned daily. We would highly recommend Dreamscaping,Inc. and Scott Elmer for any remodeling project you are thinking about!!

I would say that Scott at Dreamscaping , Inc. is very professional. I hired him for 2 projects on my home. The bid was very fair, the work exceeded my expectations (and for me that is a lot) and the work area was kept very tidy. I would recommend him to all my friends, and I have!

Scott has done extensive remodeling for me over a period of several years. He is knowledgeable, efficient and one of the few people who are better workers than I am. He lead projects that involved replacing a roof, total construction of multiple porches and a bathroom as well as window and door installation. He has done trim work and handcrafted detail work. He is honest and competent and I will use his services again.

Scott was beyond helpful and professional and friendly. When I called him and explained our situation he came out to our house within a couple hours and started work the next day. He was upfront with all the costs and sent me pictures of samples to pick out etc. I will definitely call him again whenever we have another project.

Basement Remodel, Lakeville | May 2013 | Basement Finish, including bedroom, family room, tiled fireplace, new bathroom with tiled shower and floor, new utility room. Also opened up part of the outside wall and fixed a drain pipe that had been leaking into the basement for years. Took out some of the concrete floor to rework plumbing lines for the new bathroom layout. | $28k | Lakeville, MN
Bathroom Tile Installation | Apr 2011 | The new tub was already in when the customer requested me. I put in a heated tile floor and tiled around the tub, including tiled shelves. | $6k | Northfield, MN
DB Bathroom Remodel | Aug 2010 | A sorely needed renovation of a very old cast iron tub/shower and floor. | $8k | Northfield, MN
Whole house remodel | May 2009 | I took a run down house that had good stability and beautiful woodwork, gutted it to the studs, and completely remodeled it. Also took down an existing lean-to one car garage and built a detached two car garage. | $175k | Morristown, MN
Rooney Bathroom Remodel | Mar 2014 | The basement bedroom existed, but the customer wanted to get the bathroom finished so the grandparents could stay comfortably there. This included in floor heat under the tile, and replacing the old noisy vent fan with a much quieter one. This project included having a tiled shower pan, and then installing frameless shower doors. | $12k | Lakeville, MN
Schroeter Kitchen Remodel | Aug 2013 | This customer was moving in from out of state and wanted to have the kitchen remodeled so that it was usable shortly after they moved in. This project was in a home built before 1978, so EPA lead safe procedures had to be used. We made the kitchen much more functional, and installed a wood floor that reflected the rest of the house. | $25k | Northfield, MN
Matters Bathroom Renovation | Mar 2013 | This lady needed a bathroom update on a 40 year old bathroom. Part of the reason was to remove the cast iron tub and install a shower with a seat to make it easier for her as she aged. | $10k | Faribault, MN
Vessey Basement Renovation | Oct 2009 | This was a semi-finished basement from 30 years previous that they wanted to update, including putting in a legal bedroom with an egress window and a full bath, which will add to resale value later. The bedroom was for when their kids and grandkids came to visit. | $30k | Northfield, MN
Karen Bathroom Remodel | Jun 2006 | This was one of a number of projects I have done where there is a window above the tub, which once a shower was added became a liability. I installed a glass block window, and installed the tile, stool and vanity. The reason this job was in Kansas City is that the customer was my sister. | $4k | Kansas City, MO |
