Mark Levey General Construction

Very shoddy work, after Mark finished I had a couple of real contractors stop by to look at his work and they were appalled that he would do work that put peoples life in jeopardy by the unsafe fly by night workmanship. I had to have most of his work redone just to make it safe. joist hanging on to joist hangers by a hair which were nailed to 2x2 with one or two nails no header, roof post to low so he cut them raised them then nailed them with short 2by all around and never filled in the space gap. I can go on but you get the picture. It cost me quite a bit to fix his f@#$ up. Still talking with my lawyer about suing him. Bottom line save your self time aggravation and mostly $MONEY$ and don't hire this 1st year apprentice (if that)

"A few years ago, wanted to support a local contractor," following windstorm/tree damage to our Leicester, NY home. Called, "Mark Levey Construction," in My Morris: After great BS sales-job and calling four "named references," we ended up with extremely shoddy workmanship! Demands were made for cash payments via our, insurance claim settlement. The weather during multiple-days construction, were ideal. - shocking, when shingle bundles were delivered via conveyor to rooftop! Several helpers gamingly maxed-out conveyor, overloading heavy bundles to roof, slamming marginalized structure and causing interior seems in ceiling to abutt becoming, now noticeable, within, popcorn finish. - Our roof job is now sagging, as sheeted over broken rafters instead of replacing them also causing interior vaulted ceiling to also sag. - Siding, gable repair falling apart, as never replaced broken gable facia. - Multiple window trim remains damaged. - Refused to install roof vents, as agreed & purchased. - Worked with flimsy aluminium ladders; had to loan him heavy-duty extension of my own, to reach gable. - Lacked skills to complete job independently; called in subcontractor. - Employees were not given PPE for interior insulation removal and repair. - Patching shingles for a third time, subsequent to Mr Levey's, total reroofing. - Have had to deal with subsequent water leaks around, furnace vent stack.

Hired Mark (MLGC) to build a 20x30 addition on my residence in Bath NY. Not only was he professional and worked long hours (we asked for the job to be done within 4 weeks) to finish the job on time but when it came time to attach to the house and he found rotten wood they fixed the wall free of charge. Half way through the job I was told by a friend to search his name and came along this site with hesitation of what's to come of the job Though we are not only very pleased with both his work but also staying on budget (no charge for the hidden problems). We will definatly be hiring him and crew again when it comes time to do more work. Yes he is insured as the town of Bath now has his insurance on file which was needed for the building permit. Anyone in need of a reference feel free to use my husband and I.

This contractor is UNINSURED and may be unlicensed. He has scammed a lot of people including myself. He was incompetent and could not finish my job. His workers were not insured. He already has several judgements/lawsuits so get in line. He has fake positive reviews on sites, some aren't smart enough to realize they copied and pasted the same review under 2 different names....do yourself a favor and do not hire him. If you don't take my word at least look into his judgements just in livingston county and then do a quick Google search.
