Domestic water re piping Re piping is the process of replacing the existing water lines inside or under the home or business. We have dedicated crews that perform re-pipes throughout the Sarasota/Bradenton area. We are happy to give you an estimate on any re piping job. Polybutylene Repiping In the 80's and 90's a lot of homes in Sarasota/Bradenton had polybutylene water pipes installed. These pipes and pipe fittings were found to be defective and will eventually fail. Polybutylene is a gray pipe when used inside of a home. Some mobile homes even had a black form of the polybutylene piping. Most homes cannot be sold without having the polybutylene piping replaced before sale. Copper Repiping Unfortunately another water pipe plumbing problem that is common in Florida is pinhole leaking copper. This usually occurs in homes where soft copper piping was used. Soft copper piping is the type of copper that was installed under the concrete slab in homes. It is used because plumbing codes do not allow for fittings under concrete slabs. Because of this fact, plumbers are forced to install soft copper that can be bent rather than use fittings. Currently, there is no definitive reason why this happens to our pipes. If you have a pinhole leak in your soft copper, you're liable to have several more until the piping is replaced.. Sewer Cleaning Our basic sewer cleaning service. For clearing out the sewer line the runs from your house to the main city sewer or your septic tank. Our basic service is $125* for cleaning up to 75 feet of sewer line. This service includes a 30 day warranty. Some problem sewers may require additional service beyond the basic service. Runs longer than 75 feet may require a cleanout installation. Water Heater Repairs If your water heater is over 10 years of age, we suggest replacing it as opposed to repairing it. Water heaters do not generally last much longer than 10 years in Florida. Also, if you have not changed your anode rod every couple years, then the metal in the tank is probably started to rusted away. The Anode Rod is a replaceable part within the water heater that stops hard water from eating away your metal tank. Water Softeners Tired of having limescale in your water? There is really nothing good about having hard water, other than, maybe that your used to having it. It ruins our cloths, plumbing, dishes, etc. It also makes you have to use more soap when washing clothes and dishes.
