Replaced hot water heater. Made a special trip out on a Saturday to do job during a holiday weekend. Very happy with the result. All good.

Wett Plumbing was assigned to a Home Warranty Call through Choice Home Warranty. Ellen called to confirm an appointment from 1-4pm on a Friday. The property was a rental property and the tenant was returning from school and got caught in traffic. According to the tenant across the street from the assigned property, the technician drove up at or perhaps before 1pm. She attempted to go to tell him that the tenant was on the way but the technician left as she was crossing the street. The technician never called to state he was on the way or to see why no one was home. When the tenant called to reschedule, Ellen was very rude to her on the phone and told her she would try to send someone out on Monday. Ellen then began to call me to collect the $45 service fee which she states I am required to pay via the Home Warranty Company even though the service call was not rendered. I just got off the phone with Choice Home Warranty who stated that I am not responsible for the service fee. I have used Wett plumbing in the past with no issues so I am unsure what has happened for Ellen to treat clients so unprofessionally. Granted, I became not "so nice" on the phone also as the conversation escalated, but she is the vendor and I am supposed to be the customer. Perhaps just a bad day (NOTE: I have had no problems with the technician...he is wonderful and courteous- just their customer relations). I did have the issue resolved through another vendor assigned through the Home Warranty Company which was excellent. The technician came out on the Saturday and did not charge the weekend fee. He fixed the issue, did not charge me at that time, and said he would contact me when he heard back from Choice to settle the bill. Wow...difference in service.
