UWS Pied a Terre | Jan 2012 | This NYC pre-war apartment was renovated to maintain its original character while upgrading kitchen bath and electrical installations to create a one of a kind unit. In the living room new storage & library area was created into he multifunction space. The tiny kitchen, one of our biggest challenges, was converted into a full kitchen equipped with all new appliances, quartz counter, stainless steel backsplash and new cabinets in 30 sqft. The Bathroom was reconfigured using the same area to create a more convenient use of the space. The bedroom was also reconfigured placing the bed by the window and creating a new wood built in containing the desk, TV cabinet & closets. | $150k | New York, NY
Home Sweet Home | Jan 2011 | This NYC apartment was fully renovated from its original condition to create a bright and peaceful retreat away from the city. The kitchen originally closed, was opened in both ends to create a nice flow with the living and dining areas. It was fully equipped with new appliances, quartz counter, glass backsplash and new cabinets with thermofoil doors. The Bathroom was enlarged into the hallway to increase the area and into the master bedroom closet to create a vanity space. The bedroom was equipped with new closets and a window build-in used for bookcases and small desk facing the urban views. It is a small GEM in the city. | $80k | New York, NY
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Annex | Jan 2009 | The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ANNEX was a project developed in the basement of an abandoned industrial building in the heart of Soho. The challenge was to remodel a dilapidated space by transforming it into an elegant and modern exhibition gallery that was not only functional, but also safe for the many visitors it would attract daily. | $3m | New York, NY
Home Office UWS | Jan 2008 | We transformed a dilapidated professional only space on the ground floor into this stunning Live-Work apartment in the UWS of Manhattan. The renovated unit functions as a home office and a gallery space. The media room, which also serves as a storage space for office filing, can be separated for more privacy by closing the 3 FORM high tech sliding doors, ideal for both the children and parents. In the kitchen we designed a kitchenette and secondary full bath so the unit could be transformed into a three-bedroom and two full bath home-office. For that purpose, we had changed the building's CofO (Certificate of occupancy). | $200k | New York, NY
Steve Madden Flagship Store | Jan 2007 | The design for this Steve Madden flagship store was fully inspired by the urban space where it resides on 34th street, nestled in between the Empire State Building and Madison Square Garden. The dark color and curvature of the display walls is reminiscent of the subway tunnels, while on the opposite wall is a subway map especially customized with fashion stops on each line. A lighting designer created beautiful yet dramatic lighting to contrast with the dark walls, making every shoe stand out. Furthermore, it created an urban ambiance that connected the street outside with the showroom inside. After the renovation sales skyrocketed to more than double from the previous year. DESIGN DOES MATTER! | $350k | New York, NY
Rooftop Manhattan | Jan 2007 | We created this roof as an addition to the existing Pent House below. A custom wooden staircase was added to the PH to provide direct access to the roof deck. We left the existing building roof untouched and built an engineered metal structure above to support the new deck. IPE wood was used all throughout because it is very hard and resistant making it perfect for NY weather. Stainless steel and wooden railings divide the roof into three sections, a sitting area with planters, an area covered with wooden louvers that allow the light to come through and a sun deck, in order to enjoy this exterior space throughout the year. The wood and steel combination was used to create a cozy yet contemporary space that offers a spectacular view of the big apple. | $150k | New York, NY
Shoe Retail NYC | Jan 2006 | This was the third store prototype requested by the client. In this location (NYC fashion avenue) the objective was to create a slight upscale store to showcase their line of accessories. As a result, areas were designed with special niches to exhibit the bags, belts and clothing. We used much calmer colors than in the previous two stores and added mirrors and crystal chandeliers to give this location a more elegant and chic look. | $500k | New York, NY
Steve Madden 86th St Store | Jan 2006 | A Steve Madden prototype store for women only, this store was designed to be the embodiment of femininity. The simple geometric forms produce a comfortable and luxurious atmosphere, while the curves and pink give it a sensual feel. Lighting was especially designed to enhance the beauty of the shoes and of the women who try them on. After the renovation sales sky rocketed to twice the previous year, proving that design really does matter. | $250k | New York, NY
Trump World | Jan 2006 | When developing the design for this 36th Floor apartment in the city, I had in mind the feeling of lightweight materials, colors and textures. We used hung chairs, lighted leg furniture, chrome, aluminum and high tech elements intermixed with ethnic pieces, stone and wooded doors to create an eclectic environment that floats over the apartment's overwhelming views of the city. | $95k | New York, NY |
