For 14 years, James Caldwell has put in countless hours of hard work and dedication to his company and has successfully established Five Star Complete Restoration. However, his motives were not the normal reasons behind starting a business. James started Five Star Complete Restoration, so that his kids could one day inherit the business. "I started Five Star, so my kids can take over the business and so it won't be as hard for them to find a job. I want to make it as easy as I can for my children. Hard work and dedication for our family business is the legacy I want to pass on to my kids". "I think we have all the right motives and ideas, committing to excellence and striving for perfection". Recently, in 2015, James entered in to a partnership with Erik Botts, to bring new, productive ideas to the Five Star Team. In 2002, James one year old daughter, Chloe, who had yet to start walking, was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, along with his two year old son, James Jr. and unborn son, Dakota. Spinal Muscular Atrophy is an incurable disease that takes over all the muscles and will eventually cause all three children to be in wheelchairs. James' son, James Jr. has already started helping his dad out at the shop and in the office, by working with the different departments throughout the company, helping out a few days a week. James Jr. wants to major in business and cannot wait to start working at Five Star Restoration full time. In an effort to not only help his kids, but other children who are affected, each year a portion of the company's profits are donated to the Spinal Muscular Atrophy Foundation to help find a cure. Five Star Restoration offers a wide variety of services for the Greater Indianapolis Area. Five Star offers carpet cleaning, water, fire, & storm damage inspections, construction & remodeling services, and so much more. We are a family owned and U.S. Veteran operated business. James himself spent over 6 years in the Army National Guard, serving overseas for this great nation. After Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast, Five Star sent half of its staff to New York, volunteering where they could and helping those who desperately needed our services. They were able to dry out ten homes while they were there. James spoke about the trip to New York, by saying, "It was a very humbling and rewarding experience for myself and the Five Star family as a whole."
