Split Rock was hired to design and construct a new addition onto the home that would expand upon the kitchen and dining area and create a new Florida room with 16 foot hurricane rated sliding doors that over look the lake. The kitchen layout was expanded to include additional matching cabinetry, an new island and a new, extra large pantry covered by two cherry doors. Beautiful lighting was installed above the island and over the dining area as well as new recessed lighting installed throughout. The cherry flooring was matched and continued into the new Florida room.

The home was remodeled to convert an existing patio area into additional air-conditioned living space and to create a new screened patio enclosure with hurricane rated windows and doors. Split Rock designed all of the custom cabinetry which was installed in the new living area, the master bedroom and the guest room. All of the cabinetry was built with solid wood doors and components and top of the line Blum hardware. The new living space floor was finished in a striking Jacobean porcelain wood grain tile.

This project was a complete renovation of a 2,700 square foot post-war apartment and private elevator landing. The interior was completely demolished and rebuilt with state of the art, luxurious finishes and all of the mechanical systems were replaced. The new layout included a long marble gallery, a double living room, kitchen and casual dining, a custom paneled and lacquered dining/library, master suite and dressing room and guest suite. Custom plaster moldings, millwork, and heated marble floors were installed throughout. Additional amenities included wine storage, security system, distributed media and smart home technology.
