I strongly recommend Affordable Fence & Railing. In just a few days, owner John Sementelli and his associate, Vaughn, built an outstanding 6' privacy fence, picket fence, and new gate in our backyard -- all of which are outstanding in quality/sturdiness and appearance. Everything was organized and communicated well: Demo day, post-setting, framing/building. Some quotes from other businesses did not include demo. It's worth it -- one-stop shopping here. John Sementelli met with us, showed up on time, communicated professionally, brought us in to consult at times to make sure we were happy with a particular aspect of the job (weird backyard terrain we have vs fence height, etc). He made sure we were happy at key milestones. Throughout the entire process, John (and Vaughn) were the epitome of professionalism, and their tradecraft speaks for itself. In our 20 years living in Virginia, and my 4-5 years running a website that specialized in connecting homeowners with local qualified contractors, Affordable Fence & Railing is the most professional I've encountered. Not exaggerating.

We recently sustained some storm and wind damage to our property, which included down and uprooted trees that damaged my backyard wood fence., I contacted John @ Affordable Fencing and Railing who came out and gave me an estimate on the fence repair and debris removal. John and I agreed on a very fair price and scheduled the work for Thurs (7th Jan 21). John called me on the following Monday, to tell me he could move the work up to Tues (5th), so we agreed to that. His crew came out on Tues am and completed the work by Tues evening. John was very personable, professional and timely with scheduling and completing the work. We highly recommend Affordable Fencing & Railing to anyone in the Hampton Roads area looking for quality work, prompt service, easy to do business with, and a very fair price. I previously used John and Affordable Fencing to repair my vinyl fence a few years ago when we had a Nor’ easter storm roll through and take out a section of my vinyl fence.
