Plaster

On November 25, 2019, Rob Weiss came by to give me a quote. After waiting for another contractor for over 4 months I was pleased when he said he could start soon. He wanted to start before Christmas but one of this children was sick. So we ​ rescheduled for after Christmas- so I didn't have to deal with the mess before holiday and vistors. ​ ​ Saturday, December 28 2019, he said he would be here by 10am but ended up showing up a couple hours late. He patched and ​ mudded multiple holes in the wall and ceiling. After only being here for a couple hours he starts asking about payment. ​it was midday on Saturday and he starts saying he prefers cash and asks if I can go to the bank before they close. So I ​thought it was super rude but I complied to be nice- he was doing work for us. I pay him a portion of the invoice and he ​ leaves for the day, leaving the mud to dry. When he left he said they would be back on Tuesday, December 31, 2019. ​ ​ This is where the story gets interesting and he processes to blow us off MANY, MANY times.​ The day before I text him because I never heard back from him. He says they arent coming. ​ January 2, 2020 I text him back because I haven't heard back from him. I ask if they are coming tomorrow like he said the last time we talk. He replied yes BUT was a complete NO SHOW without even a text. ​ I then text him on January 3 to ask if he was coming that day, again- no reply. ​ He finally showed up on January 4th- a Saturday. ​ ​ On Saturday, he works on the walls while he hired someone else to do the ceiling paint. My husband, myself, and our 5 ​children hung out upstairs to stay out of their way. About 2 hours into working he starts asking for payment again. We were ​not paying for the rest, so we gave him the contact info for the perosn who would be paying the rest. He was gone for a ​good 2-3 hours. During this time the painted had finished and left without checking in with us.  When Rob finally got back ​he started packing up. We started to walk the house. I immediately was very upset. The work was EXTREME sloppy. Rubbery ​ paint goop all over the walls, spots with not paint on them at all, the sanding from the patch was horrible, he left seams ​ raw and without caulk, and water spots all over ceiling still. Rob knew we were upset and started fumbling all over his ​words. he promised that HE would come back Monday, January 6, 2020 to fix it. ​ ​ Monday he was a no show and no text. I even text him and he didnt reply. On Tuesday he said they would show up the next day. Wednesday, January 8th 2020. Rob text me on Wednesday and said they were coming our way soon.....BUT NEVER showed up. ​ Then after a very angry text to him, he assured me he would make it right. ​ ​ On Friday January 10th, 2020 he said he would come out on Monday the 13. Monday the 13th he was another no show! ​ I sent him a very angry text about how unprofessional and inconsiderate he was with my time- continually not showing after ​telling me he would be here. ​ He sents me a text blaming the other painter. ​ He should be here fixing it himself to not ruin his companies reputation. ​ ​ January 22, 2020, I ask when he coming to fix the work. No reply.​ January 26, 2020, I text him again. I asked for my money back, so I can hire someone else to fix this mess. ​ Not surprisingly, he's ghosting me again. ​ This man is CRAZY unprofessional! I have reported him to the local BBB too.
