Drew Lang is NOT to be trusted. I signed a $35,000 contract with him on June 27, 2019 to finish an investment property I own. The contract indicated that the rough-in was complete and he would finish everything including drywall, cabinets, flooring, all trim work, etc. so the house would be ready to sell. I paid half up front ($17,000) and would pay half when the project was finished (the other $17,000). After running into problems with the City of Joplin's inspectors about the rough-in, he started to ask for about $1800 a week in order to make payroll. I paid him without complaint, knowing that we thought the rough-in was finished when we signed the contract. At the time the house passed the city's rough-in inspections for electrical, plumbing, HVAC and framing, I had paid him $32,550 of the $35,000 contract (that's 92% of the original contract). At this point, he sent me an invoice for $10,400 more on top of the original contract because of what he had to fix with the rough-in. I was not opposed to paying this, but before I did, I asked for an accounting of the $32,000 I had already given him. He refused to supply me with any receipts for materials or accounting for labor. I then asked him to see the $17,000 of materials that he said were in a storage unit. He also refused to show me the materials and demanded that I pay $5200 of the $10,400 invoice before he showed me the materials. At this point, he walked off the job and would not answer my phone calls, texts or emails. I visited his home twice to try to work out a deal and he would not budge until he was paid another $5200. As my project stands now, I have $10,400 worth of rough-in work completed, half my drywall up and half my siding up and I've paid Drew $32,550. I never recovered any materials, and will now have to pay another contractor to finish the job. I'm already $10,000 upside-down on this investment, and I'll be a total of about $30,000 underwater when it's all said and done, due to Drew's mismanagement of the funds I entrusted him with. I learned this the hard way, but a contractor who can't provide you with an accounting of how he's spent YOUR money is not a contractor worth hiring. I would HIGHLY CAUTION anyone considering hiring Drew's Remodeling Crew.

Drew doesn't pay his help, he gives them promises that he will never follow thru with, i would look for a better contractor.
