About Zack's Home Improvement
General Contractor since 1989. I started working as a new home framer with my dad when i was still in High School. He taught me all he knew. He was building custom homes in the 80's and 90's so i learned so much about this trade. When my dad retired i continued to work on my own and my little brother joined in. Now the majority of the work we are doing is restoration, remodeling and repair work for insurance companies in NJ. After getting married and moving to NY i have expanded my business throughout the NY City area. I am now a NY State Licensed home Inspector as well and am still running my construction business throughout NJ and NY. I am available for all remodeling, restoration needs or if you plan to purchase or sell your home i can evaluate it before you make any decisions. Call me for and Estimate. Run away. Run as fast as you can. These guys are sloppy, don't follow instructions, don't know what they are doing. Worse, they lie and cover up mistakes. They don't follow plans, they don't read basic instructions and make excuses for shitty work. - squeaky floors after full replacement (subfloor, underlayment, new engineered HW - grout falling out (should have used caulk) - stained grout - uneven tile work, didn't use spaces, looks worse than DIY - didn't level cabinets (blamed it on floors they replaced) - Didn't level ceiling - odd wring, unsafe - couldn't hook up a water softener (too complex for then to understand, lol) - didn't know a water heater was 220v - sloppy drywall and mud work, terrible painting - framed doorways wrong size - hooked up hot/cold backwards in shower (after messing up rough in valve and having to rip the wall open after tiling The only thing they did right was show up, and make a mess and get numerous HOA complaints. Just run away
