More Than Maintenance

Mr. Talbert is friendly, but his work is not worth the friendliness he provides during the project. He was hired to fix the subflooring in our bathroom (among other things), said he did it but the floor is still not level - only for him to tell us afterwards he’s not responsible for fixing unlevel joists...it wasn’t even mentioned to us. Our laminate flooring that he installed is cut unevenly at the baseboard. When he installed the flooring he didn’t even remove the baseboards prior to installation, just added quarter round on top to cover the gaps from the flooring to the wall. Our toilets that he installed are uneven and not tightly secured to our floor, as well as the toilet seat. The quarter round he installed weren’t cut to the corners - they were cut straight and installed. When he didn’t cut the quarter round correctly he applied caulk to fill in the spaces. Our base boards are brown and he installed white quarter rounds. He left our bathroom full of dust and debris for us to clean up after him. He put the old wax rings and items in our trash can in the bathroom and knocked it over getting it all over our carpets. When he installed our tile in the shower, we had to tell him to use spacers because he didn’t have them on the first day. If I could give (0) stars I would. We’ve already found a contractor to fix his mistakes. Our flooring that was installed is not salvageable and we will now have to purchase new flooring to have installed.
