Abel Cabrera aka Abel Maldonado doesn't deserve one star. WARNING, DO NOT USE MALDONADO CONSTRUCTION INC. Abel Cabrera who introduces himself as Abel Maldonado is a con man and stole over $26,000 from us and the little work he started, without a permit, after lying about getting the permits, all has to be torn down because it was not plum and the measurements were not according to architect plans. He is a smooth talker and will take just enough of your money where it isn't worth it for you to get a lawyer, yet he will tell you to get a lawyer if you want your money back...after he emailed me saying he will refund $5,700 and totally lied about the hours his workers worked and the number of workers. This was months ago but I now feel it's my civic duty to warn you, you don't want this guy or his workers anywhere near your house. Now I know why his remodel price was $100,000.00 less...he never planned on doing it, he planned on ripping us off as I've learned he has done to others. Unfortunately I learned too late. He doesn't deserve any stars. Oh yeah, he also lies and says we never emailed him when we did numerous times and he only replied to the one where I said I was going to call the police. The police couldn't help but he refused to give us the keys to our house back too and then he said he never got one email from us...and he had responded to one. Then I saw him and he lied and said he did reply to email and he never did once, not one answer to our questions and concerns. Beware, good luck. I know it's not easy to find a contractor, but no contractor is better than this one because you will be way worse off
