KnR Home Maintenance

We're very happy with the work KnR Home Maintenance did in our master bathrm! There was a lot more work than anticipated b/c water had been leaking from the shower for who-knows-how-long and they had to remove the damaged wood beneath the ceramic tile before they could install the new tiles. Even with the additional work involved in laying a new ceramic floor (including having to replace/repair some drywall), the crew never lost their good attitudes and was able to complete the work in the timeframe they initially gave us. We're so proud of our beautiful 'new' bathroom - we'll be calling them again, for sure! -RR

Hired Knr to install my new kitchen cabinets. I gave decent rating for punctuality to start job, otherwise it would have been zero stars. Very dissatisfied with the service and the attention to detail. Some of the problems: -made unnecessary holes in the wall cabinets while hanging the cabinets (after missing the studs). -wrong fasteners to attach cabinets together ( not counter sunk), -damaged drywall -damaged the bottoms of wall cabinets by over tightening cabinet screws and into studs (mushrooming the cabinet wood) -installing cabinets in wrong order and having to move around. -incorrectly attaching filler pieces - holes in trim that were not filled. Hundreds of dollars of uneccesary damage to my cabinet investment. Two weeks after "completion" I am still correcting their mistakes. Unable to be home on the "last day" due to family obligations. I left Ken a check and I assumed ALL the issues would have been corrected before he left. Not all were corrected. I called to complain, left Ken a message, but have not heard anything back in over a week. Generally I try to do most of my own work. I was apprehensive to let someone else hang my cabinets. Simply ran out of time to do it myself. Lesson learned, spell out everything in the contract. Discuss all the installation options and verify quality of work before paying. -

Ken replaced rotten wood on our deck and reinforced a stair post. He was punctual, did a fine job, and is a pleasant person. Fee was very reasonable. I would hire again.

Update from my original review-can't say enough about our installer Brian, just a great guy and apologized for missing us a few days ago, apparently they have a lot of customer projects pending right now Can't say enough about Brian, we're planning to use them again for a basement expansion project next month.
