Preferred Plumbing

I hate writing bad reviews, but we are really unhappy with Preferred Plumbing. Our service tech was nice and professional and it appears he did a good job. But what we were charged was outrageous. We were unable to run any of water or flush toilets, so we felt really stuck in the moment to turn them away. They didn't even give us a choice of the faucet installed. When they gave us a quote they wouldn't even give us a price breakdown for parts or an hourly rate, even though it took him at least 20 minutes in his truck to make a quote. We ended up paying $800 for bathtub faucet and valve stem repair that took under two hours of work and when we looked up parts after they left, they could have costed only 200-300 dollars. So that means we were charged a labor fee of $500-$600 (including the service call). I guess they quote you on worse case scenario’s. It's a really terrible feeling. I wish we would have known how this company is not upfront with their pricing before we called them. I did try to email and left a message afterwards in hopes of working it out, but they didn’t respond, so hopefully this help someone else.
