Hegarty Painting does pretty good work. They replaced at least five sheets of siding, some were at the top of the house way up and replaced several pieces of trim and also added a lot of trim to make the house look better. All of the utilities and other things on the sides of the house were painted the same color as the main house paint, which blends them into the paint on the house and looks better. This house is a 1500 sq ft raised ranch in the back. I bought the house five years ago and it needed painting then. I had done some minor work on the outside but I did not want to tackle painting the outside. The north side was about thirty feet high and on a slope as was the south side. His painters did a good job and the house looks great. Painting all of the foundation and caulking areas that needed it and caulked all new wood that was installed. His quote provides for only two coats of paint. I was changing the house from a gray blue color to a soft yellow. It covered most areas well except for the lap siding in part of the front of the house. You can kind of see the blue gray color coming through it you are close to it. I could have had him paint that part more but it would have cost a lot more One thing I will say is if you contract with this company, be aware that the quote he gives you is for labor only. Paint and materials are extra. Hit quote for the job was $7200+, which was a lot higher than another quote I had received from another company that turned out to have a bad reputation for their work. I did not know that and he did not tell me when he gave me the quote. So when the job was completed he informed me it was only for labor. I had to give him over $600 dollars more than the quote and I had bought all the paint as well, at Home Depot because I get a military discount which was about $720.00 total for the paint. All the paint, three five gallons of base paint and one five gallon for the trim. His painter also cleaned their brushes using the garden hose and the spray from it went into the grass. I did not think about it at the time, but by them doing that it killed several square feet of grass in three areas. I called Mr. Hegarty and let him a voice message about it and I never heard back from him.
