Small Living, Courtyard Pool Design

Aug 2014

This is another design for the growing market for "small living" in today's society, but slightly upgraded with a raised beam offering a beautiful shear descent water fall. Raised bond beam also has two "lion head" wall water sconces. Spa bench all the way around and two sun ledges. One sun ledge serves the adults wanting a water patio setting. The other sun ledge for pool entry and children play area, which also has two light bubblers build into the ledge for more fun and ambiance. Client also subscribed to the optional Build-A-Pool construction coaching program for more confidence during their DIYS build. Price $1,295

Country Outdoor Living

Jan 2013

Here is an attractive outdoor living plan that typically works well for a home with teenagers and grandkids. Best suited for neighborhoods with home prices ranging from $225,000 to $280,000. A free-form design with Oklahoma flagstone coping and beach entry, attractive landscaped rock fall in the middle and small fall at the beach entry. It has a 4-5-6 ft. floor layout to accommodate family water activities such as volleyball. The plaster is a "flagstone" selection, which produces a slate blue color to the water. The adjacent cabana with large fireplace is great for family outdoor gatherings. For a full service builder project, the cost is $67,875. As a DIYS project, the cost is $54,000. Upscale Outdoor Living

Jan 2013

This tranquil rectangle design immerses the owners in the world of high end outdoor living. Travertine tile coping with colored concrete patio (Thyme 238), and waterfall diving board are just the obvious. The cabana on the right side contains a raised spa with shear decent waterfall from the wall feeding the spa and flowing over into the pool. On the left side of the pool, just off of the master suite, is a complete outdoor kitchen. Stepping down from the kitchen is a large sunken firepit with surrounding bond beam wrapped in Travertine. Under the water we have incorporated the top of the line, French Grey "Pebble Tec" finish instead of traditional plaster. For trim tile, we have used California Blue Glass. This design would be ideal for a neighborhood ranging in home prices of $500,000 to $1.5 million. Cost as a full service builder project is $115,000. Construction price as a DIYS project is $86,250. Suburban Living

Jan 2013

Perfectly designed for any housing community that provides homes ranging $280,000 to $380,000. This design puts a subtle improvement spin on traditional rectangle pool layouts. Side sun ledge entry from the middle of the pool lined with VAL SAN PEA6 ceramic tile instead of simple plaster, leading to the sloping 4 ft to 8 ft depth pool. Opposite the home is a raised bond beam flower bed leading to a raised spa. Then topped off with a quaint corner lounge firepit, all capped in light Oklahoma flagstone to match the pool edge. The deck is covered with "Indiana Wheat" Americoat (Kool deck) to bring all of the ambiance together with the Carribean Blue plaster of the pool. Cost as a full service builder project is $79,500. Price for a DIYS project is $59,950. Contact one of our design coaches to purchase this plan, or start your customization today!
