Amity Construction & Design is proud to celebrate 28 years of excellence as a custom design-build firm, specializing in both residential and commercial construction projects throughout Connecticut since 1982. Originally located in the greater New Haven area, we now conduct business from our new office and showroom in the Old Lyme Marketplace on Halls Road in Old Lyme, CT. Though we are geographically located in the eastern sector of the state, we continue to design and construct projects statewide and sometimes beyond. Our primary focus at Amity Construction & Design is the designing and building of custom single family homes, custom additions, renovation work, and large commercial projects with the ability to satisfy both our residential and commercial customers' needs. Our projects range from small simple homes to large commercial developments. Amity Constuction & Design has received numerous design and construction awards for both our residential work and commercial work. Recently we were awarded the Certified Green Professional designation through the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), recognizing our high degree of professional competence. As a "design-build" company, the team at Amity Construction & Design will take your project from initial concept to completion in a professional, organized, and cost-effective manner, without losing sight of your priorities and goals. Our design-build process eliminates the need for commissioning an architect or engineer to prepare drawings and specifications, ensuring your time and money are well spent. Your building process can and should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. By choosing Amity Construction & Design you will achieve this goal. We look forward to working with you.

Killingworth Kitchen Renovation | Mar 2014 | This project required the removal of a wall and the installation of a flush beam in the area of the new kitchen, to allow additional space to be absorbed by the kitchen. The cabinetry is a stained cherry, which will continue to darken with age and solar exposure. The counter tops are a Cambria Quartz material. | Killingworth, CT | ||

Roger's Lake Renovation | Jun 2012 | In the summer of 2012 Amity was approached by clients who wanted a drastic change, without a complete house demolition. Amity came into the existing home, and creatively developed some concepts to satisfy the clients needs. After going through some concepts, Amity went through the proper building and zoning process to make the project a reality. In the end the clients ended up with a significantly changed structure, which in turn directly affects the clients way of living. The new living room is almost twice the size it was, with much more light filling the space. The new entry gives the exterior a more balanced appearance, while offering a much more functional interior environment. | Old Lyme, CT |
