Tim Minnig Painting

We hired Tim Minnig Painting for a moderate sized project and after collecting a down payment, he barely showed up for the first week. Finally when they did start work, they used rollers and trays full of debris and the primed walls had junk stuck in them that eventually required sanding. His son put the primer on the walls so this that it was like mashed potatoes. All of these areas had to be sanded and most of them required skim coating with drywall mud just to get back to a smooth surface again. They also only primed what they could reah with a roller. None of them got out a brush and did any priming along edges or ceiling lines. Their quality of work was the worst I have ever seen, you probably would have ended up with a better primer job if you would have dipped a rag in the bucket and rubbed it on the walls! They also never cleaned up after themselves and left trash all over the job site. Ultimately we had to ask them to leave or fire them due to the poor quality of work. They were supposed to give back a sizable portion of the deposit but have yet to give it back. He does not answer phone calls or text messages about the refund he owes the business and it appears he is a dishonest business owner as well as a poor painter. This guy claims to have 30 years experience as a painter but all I can say is he is HORRIBLE! Never hire this company. Go buy supplies and do it yourself....it wont turn out any worse that if you had Tim Minnig paint for you!
