Warning!!! Ken (a.k.a. Kenny, a.k.a Butch, a.k.a. Emanuel) Tonnessen has a long history of scamming homeowners. (His real name is Emanuel Tonnessen). After you sign a contract with Emanuel, he will attempt to convince you that he needs money upfront to secure pricing. He'll explain that if prices go up, he is not responsible. He also insists that you pay for fictitious increases that are not real. He threatens to abandon the job if you do not pay. After he secures the money upfront, he becomes unresponsive. He has not paid many of his subs (electricians, plumbers, etc.). The quality of his work is poor. He has been evicted from his Oradell address for not paying his rent. He threatens homeowners if they share their experiences on online reviews. He has operated under other business entities including Residential Interiors LLC.
