About Gold Medal Builders
Originally started in 1986 as an interior drywall and painting contractor doing business under "Gold Medal Painting" out of Austin, TX. The companys' success fluctuated due in large part to the limited services offered. After 6 years of servicing the Austin area the owner Mr Gorgonio Garcia bought property in Orange, TX and made Southeast Texas his home. It wasn't for another 10 years, when his son Ricardo Garcia moved to Orange with his family, that the company started concrete work and metal building construction. Now in our 29th year of business, 13 of which, have been serving the people and businesses of The Golden Triangle area with professional, trustworthy construction services. Rebuilding and restructuring after two hurricanes with our community. We are now a General Construction Company in the Residential and Commercial areas of construction. We now not only specialize in metal building erections, lean-to's, canopies and carports, but also have years of experience in home construction, additions, remodels and repairs. Great experience with Riq and his team at Gold Medal Builders. They've completed both a master bathroom remodel to make it handicap accessible, as well as replaced all siding and shudders on our family home. I fully plan on using them again due to competitive pricing, reliable scheduling and completion, and quality work.

I'd like to share that I don't usually share my experiences with businesses. The main reason is that when I read reviews I am skeptical that it is truthful. I feel that the reviewer is doing this person(s) a favor for whatever reason. Until now. To take time out and right down a positive review about a company or individual, I've discovered, requires time and effort out my very busy day. I am doing this for the reason someone would complain publicly about a company/ individual; the experience they had affected what the "norm" is. In my case it was excellent. I will not go into specifics other that to say that the owner listened to our situation and suggested the best approach. We had some roof work done, a remodel of kitchen and one bathroom, some concrete poured and lean-to or covered patio added. These guys were respectful, clean and most of all they won our trust immediately. Project cost was under $40,000.00 and it came out perfect. PROPS! You got my vote Riq with a Q.
