This is a response to what was just written. Never once was it presented to me to replace the patio roof until after the job is done and the leaks couldn’t be fixed. I would’ve never went forward with the build if there was any chance for leaks. It would make no sense for me to do something like that. The engineer came to my house and said that the job would be doable as is. I didn’t even know who brick by brick was when I had the drawings done. They were actually referred to me by the engineer. So to say that the engineer recommended that I replace the entire thing, is completely false. What was not mentioned was that when an aluminum roof is manipulated and stepped on it will become compromised. Brick by brick cut the roof and walked all over the roof and that’s why the roof was damaged. They also outsourced the roof work to another company. I never had any leaks in my patio from the aluminum roof before the construction started. After they had come out and tried to apply Band-Aids several times and realized that it could not be fixed, then Ruben suggested that I replace the entire aluminum roof. I asked them to pay half because they had damaged the aluminum roof during the initial build, the flashing apparently wasn’t done properly, and why on earth would I pay more money to fix something that they messed up? Also another reason why I did not proceed with paying $6500 to replace the foam roof was that that was my suggestion which would’ve been opened me up to another issue had that solution not worked. They would’ve responded by simply saying we did what you asked us to do and it didn’t work so now it is your problem. As I mentioned earlier, the initial build appeared to have gone very well. The communication was open and the responses to any questions was almost immediate. In the end the job was not done right and no one wanted to accept blame and in the end I was held responsible for something that everyone else did. I paid them every penny that I was billed for on time. In the end apparently that wasn’t enough.

This is a follow up to my initial review which was great. Six months or so after the build I started having water leaks. They came and applied bandaids. Eventually they didn’t work. When I asked them to truly fix what was wrong, they wanted an extra $6500 for a solution that I came up with. They didn’t want to fix it because they believed that it was poor design. The architect believed that it wasn’t done right. I got stuck with the problem that was no fault of my own. When I refused to pay anymore money to fix what they did wrong, they went silent and never came back to fix the problem.

Brick by Brick is a reliable, responsive contracting company that does superb quality work. Like many other homeowners looking to get work done on a home, my husband and I were meticulous and a little hesitant in choosing a contractor to complete our addition. We were not very familiar with the process and we have heard horror stories. We originally chose another contractor to do the work, but they could not dedicate their time to complete our project in the timeline that we absolutely needed. We found Brick by Brick and after meeting with Fabiola and Ruben, they calmed our nerves and dedicated their time to answer each and every question we had. It’s hard to explain, but we just got a good “vibe” from them. They listened to our concerns and implemented our wants and needs. This doesn’t mean that our project was not met with challenges. However, Fabiola and Ruben kept us informed from beginning to end. They gave us the personal service that unfortunately, just doesn’t really exist anymore in this day and age. They met with us countless times to make sure we were all on the same page and they also took the time to educate us on things they thought were important for us to know in order to make informed decisions throughout the project. They exceeded our expectations in every way and we are extremely satisfied with the product of their work! We plan on hiring them in the future for additional work.

The job went perfectly. Fabiola and her dad are truly genuine and just great people. The work was great. The constant updates as to what was happening on any given day was awesome. I felt secure which is also a worry. There was no worry with them. AWESOME!
