I never leave reviews and after just getting off the phone with him where he talked to me so unprofessionally I have to speak up. DO NOT USE, THIS SERVICE IS A SCAM FOR YOUR MONEY. he will make you pay up front then only do less than half of what you pay for. You call him and there is always an excuse and fake promises. His contract states you can only get your money back if you say you’re unsatisfied which I did for 20 weeks of the summer since he never came. He is taking advantage of people that trust their home to him. He just talked about his PRIVATE PARTS SEXUALLY with me on the phone when I asked for my money back and is completely disrespectful. I feel violated, sexually harassed, taken advantage of and scammed. My neighbors warned me that he had a bad rep but I took the chance as I like to give people a chance- that is my fault. So much for small town good people. Don’t hire this guy please save yourself the drama and disrespect. I feel worried now he is going to do something like damage my property out of revenge so looking into further action as I don’t feel safe with this guy near my house.

In May I paid $740 cash (upfront) for 13 weekly lawn cutting/weed services. Elkour only cut our lawn a few times during the first 6 weeks. After missing the first cut, I explained that we have a strict HOA, so our lawn must be cut every week and if he couldn’t keep up, we’d have to go with someone else. He assured me there would be no issue moving forward. Unfortunately, it continued to be an issue, and everything came to a head in mid-June when they failed to cut our lawn once again. The day after our scheduled cut, I reached out to Elkour to notify that he breached our contract, and we had no choice but to hire a new lawn service. I also requested that the remaining retainer fee ($590) be refunded. He became combative, insisted our lawn had been cut (the day prior) and he personally logged it in his book. I informed him that we work from home and did not see him, or his crew cut our grass and that our surveillance corroborated that fact. I also documented our overgrown yard with a real-time photo and sent it to him. His response was that he needed to discuss this with his CPA, which in my opinion was odd. I texted him a few weeks later to follow up on my refund and his response was incoherent and confrontational. Instead of accepting responsibility and agreeing to the refund, he referred us to his civil attorney & CPA. When I requested their contact information, he responded with “good luck”.

I can’t believe how unprofessional this business is. After doing many searches to see if anyone else felt unsatisfied with their service, I learned a lot about the owner himself. After the couple articles I found including his brush with the law, leaves me not surprised with the many upset customers, one of which is my grandmother. She had paid for a service of mowing her lawn throughout the summer and he has only mowed 5 times in the four months he was paid for 19 cuts. I will be mowing her lawn tomorrow, and every time I’ve visited her, her grass was very long. I would never bring someone’s legal charges to your attention, but with his performance of running a business, I feel the charges show his character. Only people that know him personally are taken care of. Do not do business with this man! My sister also wrote a review and received an aggressive message from Zak himself. Zak, you don’t want to message me or say anything to my grandmother that you were called out for taking her money for a service she didn’t receive. If you want to run a profitable business with good reviews, than you need to actually run a professional business! Stop scamming vulnerable people! I don’t think I’ve ever read so many bad reviews about a business.

I wish I could give this business ZERO stars! Worst Landscaping Company in Oakland County. They take your money & never show up to do the work!! At the beginning of June my Grandmother paid to have her lawn cut every week & her weeds cut every other week, paid in full and got a copy of the contract. Its now almost the end of August & they have been out 3 times, the only reason they showed up the last time was because of a bad review I left & the Owner was concerned because we had mutual friends on Facebook, instead of being concerned about the way he conducts his business! Totally unprofessional, contacting me at 11 PM & after Midnight on a Weekday after I left the Review. The owner takes people's money, never does the work, and won't answer or return calls. Do not let him scam you, find a professional Landscaper that gets the job done! Zak Elkour & his business are absolutely horrible! Don't be fooled by him!!!!
