J.R. Comerford & Son, Inc. has been family owned and operated in Oswego, New York since 1916. In January 2011, after over 90 years of business, Mr. John Comerford sold the family company to Mr. Thomas Brathen. Thomas Brathen, President and Owner of J.R. Comerford & Son, was born and raised in Porsgrunn, Norway. During his travels to the U.S.A. he met and married his lovely wife and decided to make a home here in Central New York. His father, Gullik Brathen, and brother-in-law, Petter Olsen, who have their own successful businesses in Norway, encouraged Thomas to pursue his dream and build a construction company. In 2008, Victory Service Partner Construction was officially established. Thomas met John Comerford through his father-in-law and was able to work with him on several different occasions. After working together with John on several projects, Thomas knew he admired and appreciated this family-owned company. Growing up in Norway, Thomas worked for his father's construction business and carried those learned work ethics over to his own business here in America. Customer satisfaction, job quality, and affordability are extremely important to J.R. Comerford & Son, Inc.
