Derik Williams represents the worst experience that I have ever had with a contractor. Derik started out very friendly and professional. I should have known when he was three hours late for the initial estimate that there might be problems. Then he promised my job would start April 26, 2021 but then he kept pushing it off and pushing it off finally when May 1 came around, he called me that night and told me he wasn’t going to be on the job he had another job in Saint Augustine and I had to be there to tell the men in what to do. The worker delivered the wrong amount of goods and Derek then wanted to increase my contract by $1500 even though his contract says it cannot be adjusted. I offered to pay him if he would just show proof, and give me a receipt for the goods so that I knew that the supplier was paid and he refused. He started to demand final payment and the job was not even completed. I asked him to complete the job - I had already given him $1800 deposit and he had no reason to think I wouldn’t pay him, but he refused to finish the job, and then he came back to my property and vandalized it and made it unusable. He dump some kind of chemicals on the property that stinks. I offered to pay him just to make him go away if he would just finish the job and I even told him I would pay ithe extra $1500 if he gave me receipts proving he paid his supplier- he refused to provide me any receipts and then he vandalized my property - he has a very violent and mean temper - he sent me a lot of threatening text messages if I were you I would not get involved with this man. I see that he has some good reviews, and he does start out being normal and then he gets a little nuts. He is a very unstable individual and I would be very hesitant to even be in a courtroom with him. He has cost me thousands of dollars that I’m going to have to pay to clean up the property, I have to call the EPA, and now I’m calling the attorney general and I’m gonna call as many people as I can to try to get my property restored. I will be seeing him in court eventually because he refuses to negotiate or fix his problems. All he had to do was finish the job I was glad to pay him, I wanted him out of my life but he refused he wanted to rip me off for that additional $1500 that was not part of the contract, and then he lied and then he even altered the contract after it was signed by all the parties. He is extremely dishonest beware of this crazy man!
