Heath Massachusetts Farmhouse Floor Refinishing | Oct 2014 | This home was a 200 plus year old farmhouse up in ski country (Heath, Massachusetts). The wide vintage plank floors were in need of expert attention... we were able to smooth out many warped areas and sand the plank floors to raw wood. After staining the floors Special Walnut by Minwax we applied three coats of a top grade semi-gloss polyurethane. The house also had an addition with new plank floors.. we were able to sucussfully match the color to the vintage boards. The home owners (who lived in New Jersey) weere thrilled with the refinished floors in their vaction home in Heath. | $2k | Heath, MA
Sturbridge Gloss Finish - White Oak | Oct 2014 | We refinished these white oak hardwood floors in Sturbridge Mass. The home owners wanted a high gloss finish. The floors were sanded before and were really beat up; the previous time these floors were sanded a lot of drum marks and divots were left in the wood. When you have a damaged hardwood floor you have to be quite careful in repairing the damage while not compromising the integrity of the floors. The key is to take your time while sanding and use calculated and precise passes with the machines. The floors looked great when they were finished. We explained to the homeowner the importance of re-coating the floors periodically so that they would not have to be sanded to bare wood again. | $875 | Sturbridge, MA
Amherst Refinishing | Sep 2014 | The homeowners, who lived in Colorado, were preparing a newly purchased home in Amherst Massachusetts to. The timing was important as the homeowner would be beginning a new position at the University in September. Seven rooms and a staircase were refinished natural with three coats of a superior grade polyurethane. The floors looked great and the homeowner was appreciative to be able to move in on schedule. | $2k | Amherst, MA
Environmental Finish Worcester | Aug 2014 | We applied Bona Traffic water born polyurethane to the rooms and stairs that we refinished in this Worcester home. The homeowner wanted an environmental friendly, low odor and yer durable finish for the floors. After sanding to bare wood we applied three coats of the Bona Traffic. Bona is an outstanding finish... most water based polyurethanes wear through very quickly... but Bona is exceptionally hard and durable. It is the only water based polyurethane that we will stand behind 100%. Floors finished with water based urethanes are typically lighter than those done with oil-modified urethanes. The homeowner was thrilled with the low ordor and the pale appearance of his stairs and floors. | $1k | Worcester, MA |
