Memphis Street Loft | Apr 2018 | Overall, the design is both playful with and respectful of the loft space. The client’s antique furnishings lend an ornate quality to the otherwise utilitarian feel of the space. On the other hand, the industrial pipes that make up the shelf supports subtly nods to the exposed piping which hangs above. In the end, a beautiful balance is struck between feminine and factory, function and adornment. | $80k | Philadelphia, PA
Shackamaxon Townhouse | Apr 2018 | Modern simplicity is maintained throughout the four stories of the townhouse. A lower den offers a less formal place for lounging and extra sleeping space, while bedrooms hone a minimal ease. The space is delicately harmonious—equally inviting the refurbished antiques as it is to modern, abstract woodworks. | $50k | Philadelphia, PA
Transitional Living Room | May 2017 | As a couple that loves to entertain, one of the goals was making this living room slightly more formal but still comfortable. The only items that existed in the room before the redesign were a leather Chesterfield sofa and a painting found on their travels, visually anchored by two benches underneath. Hues for the color scheme were pulled from their existing artwork. The high-back chairs have a classic geometry and antique brass nail heads which are contrasted by blue velvet upholstery with a modern diamond stitching on the sides. All of these elements were pulled together and anchored by a patterned wool rug that warms up the room. With such traditional pieces there needed to be a unique, unexpected piece—the teak, one-of-a-kind coffee table is definitely a conversation piece. | $10k | Lumberton, NJ
Cherry Hill Kitchen | Mar 2017 | A blend of preference and functionality, the design integrates personal priorities—double-oven, hidden microwave, accessible cabinetry—with a modern aesthetic suited to the clients. Generous light is brought in through double windows, while the quartz countertops, farmhouse basin, and herringbone subways tiles continue in pale tones brightening the space. Recessed lighting takes the place of a mounted fan fixture rounding out the general openness of the plan. Continuing in open concept, a breakfast bar situates itself at the threshold of the kitchen and sunken den, putting the two rooms in conversation. Subtle moments of teal create further cohesion between the two domains, and throughout the home. Overall, the kitchen hones a feel of hospitable elegance, inviting as it is striking. | $35k | Cherry Hill, NJ |
