ANC Roofing

My 80-year-old mother was recently a victim of ANC’s unscrupulous business practices. She was induced to sign a contract in October of 2018, it had no firm quote, completion date or even a start date. When she recently tried to place a mortgage on her property she found out a lien had been placed for $1500, as part of their commencement notice. When she had her friend and business associate contact ANC they said the $1500 had to be paid as a cancellation fee. When confronted again by another associate they claimed it was a “quote fee” and if I’m not mistaken they gave a third excuse to someone else. Bottom line, they’re extorting her for $1500. She either pays it or can’t close on the mortgage.  We intend to pursue this manner through the State  Attorney’s  Fraud Division, and through private counsel, but in the meantime we’d like to start gathering stories from others who’ve experienced problems with this company.  Former employees claim they owe hundreds of thousands of dollars to business associates and vendors, so we are especially looking to substantiate any of those rumors. But we’d also like to know if you’ve been a victim of ANC. We want this to be the gathering place for tracking and monitoring ANC.

It gives me great pleasure to give feedback on my roofing and restoration experience with ANC Roofing. In today's highly competitive business world, there are so many companies for every type of work. Looking for the right roofing contractor is like searching for a needle in a haystack. One must take the time to do thorough research because redoing your roof is a substantial investment (not a cost in my opinion). Furthermore, the roof offers full protection of the home below the roof line. It is that important like brakes on a car. Fortunately, I was able to locate ANC Roofing through proper research. ANC had a current license, good write ups, proper insurance/workers' compensation, and literally no complaints documented. When we met to discuss the work, ANC clearly explained the steps needed to redo the roof. Their bid was itemized to allow us to see everything that was promised. This is important because my other two bids were not itemized as I requested. When the work began, the staff was friendly and courteous. There were no foul languages on the job. They did what was asked (i.e. cleaning up debris at the end of the day to prevent injuries. Once the job was completed, we did a punch walk with ANC to ensure everything was done correctly and listed in the contract. ANC addressed all the questions that we had and went above the call of duty by registering our new roof shingles with the manufacturer for the warranty. In addition, ANC also provided the lien waivers and their workmanship warranty papers. Our experience with ANC was so pleasant that we had them do some restoration work too. The neighbor saw the workmanship performed by ANC ended hiring ANC to do their roof work too. This is the kind of results that you want when hiring a roofing contractor. If you want peace of mind, I recommend hiring ANC for all roofing work and restoration projects.
