{Work-in-Progress, more photos will post as project progresses} This is a custom designed wet bar being built into the homeowners dining room, the primary purpose of which is entertaining during dinner parties, football games, and other social events which bring a crowd of family & friends to their home. The dining area / wet bar is located between the large kitchen and a den with ample seating and large home theater, with expansive, wide, tall openings to each room, allowing convenient and natural flow of guests from any one of the areas to another. The bar itself has ample under counter concealed storage space for approximately 30 750mL bottles of Spirits, Liqueurs, Mixers, and other beverages, such as wines. It also provides space for storing a variety of glassware service to accommodate parties of 10 to 15 individuals, barware, such as blender, shakers, strainers, juicers, stirrers, etc. and a highly organized Garnishes Rack. The bar will accommodate 5 typical stools comfortably, providing a warmly enticing and personal refuge for a smaller group to converse and bond during large parties! The bar top is butcher block style solid red oak heartwood in a 1½" thick slab, stained to a beautiful shade of Bombay Mahogany, then protected and finished with multiple coats of a hand rubbed polyurethane seal in a satin sheen, accenting the distressing techniques applied in finishing the wood. This all works together to give the bar a feel and look of having served many many drinks over a long period of years, acquiring the tell-tale wear and character which is obtained over numerous late night discussions, celebrations, and repeated visits of well known stool patrons. Guests will never guess the top is a brand new custom built piece. Adding to the ambiance of the room, and allowing a high degree of control over the atmosphere of the function is a high end sound bar mounted below the front lip of the bar, providing music for a soft, subtle background track, or loud and gritty dance anthems, while still allowing ready, uninterrupted access to sit at the bar. This mounting location ensures the sound stage centers among the three distinct zones of the entertainment suite, allowing guests in any area to enjoy the music music equally. There is a powered 100 watt subwoofer concealed in the interior base of the bar, providing full well rounded low notes and beats to complete the rich fullness imparted by the midrange vocal drivers and Piezo tweeters in the sound bar. Best of all, the system operates on the latest Bluetooth Wireless communication standards, meaning any resident or guest can contribute their personal flair and taste to the festivities at the touch of a button on their smartphone. A final bit of flair is provided by installing 16' of LED Strip Lighting directly to the bottom of the bar tops front overhang, washing a subtle blue wave of illumination down the face of bar cabinet, while on the back side of the bar the servers pocket is awash in a soft red glow, provided by a 26 watt Miniature Standard LED bulb concealed deep within the lower cabinet shelf. The upper shelf utilizes about 12" of the blue strip light to provide subtle continuity between the two areas. This also ensures more than ample light for the bartender to quickly and easily identify all of the stock, and its location, for expedient, efficient service. With overhead lighting dimmed, or even fully extinguished the soft glow flowing out from the bar sets a smooth, romantic, peaceful, and subtly relaxing atmosphere all its own.
