Concerning the review I just posted (First word is "Terrible), the man I dealt with was Richard Kraft, not the older man pictured, whom I believe is Richard Kraft's father.

Terrible. I would give a minus rating if I could. In the following, I describe: Fraud, lying, poor work, incredible vindictiveness. Fraud: His contract and his yard sign had a non-existent MS contractor's license number, and I have reported him to the MSBOC. Poor work, one example: The double barn doors come off the track easily, do not meet in the middle, and one of them does not slide completely out of the way, with about 2 feet obstructing the doorway. Lying: He came out to see the job I wanted done, turning a carport into an efficiency apartment. I explained that I needed it done quickly so that I wouldn't have to live on my savings for an extended time and deplete them and that I needed the rent I would get from the apartment to make ends meet. He said with convincing sincerity and enthusiasm that he could do the work in 6 weeks, 8 if there were delays. At that time, I didn't know that it was taking a long time to get materials or that he was having trouble getting qualified workers, but of course he knew. The job took 7 months. He would go weeks without coming on the job. He usually would not tell me he was going to be gone and often refused to answer my attempts at communication. At one point, I hired my own electrician because I thought he had abandoned the job. Incredible vindictiveness: I refused to pay the final invoice because he had not completed the job. There was not much to be done, but I thought I would never see him again once I had paid him. Although the contract states that final payment is not due until the work is completed to my satisfaction, when I refused to pay the final invoice, he said, "It doesn't work that way" and walked off the job, stating he was going to put a lien on my house. A few days after this happened, he sent me a second final invoice for $10,719 as opposed to $9,389 in the first final invoice. The additional $1,000+ included "inconvenience charge for dealing with locked gates and disruptive parking situations". I have dogs, and contractors usually forget or don't care about dogs and gates. I was completely unaware that he had a problem with my parking or keeping the gates locked as I had always accommodated him by parking where he asked and unlocking the gates when necessary. He also has a terrible temper. Although he managed to get it under control quickly, I was afraid to ask him to come back and finish the job, especially after the second final invoice, which I thought gave additional insight into his character and vindictiveness.

Please please please stay away from this company!!! I just bought a house that he supposedly did work on the garage ceiling that had a water spot that was indication of some roof leak. I had the previous owner to have it fixed before I bought the house. Well let’s just say it wasn’t fixed. He sprayed some over the water spot that was on the ceiling which made it look like it was fixed but it wasn’t. It started leaking and I contacted him and he came out and looked and said he couldn’t find where it was leaking at. So he sprayed some flex seal around the roof and told me if it leaked again he would get a actual roofer out and look at it. So when it rained...it leaked again. So I messaged him after that and he told me that it wasn’t something he worked on after I showed him paper work and all. I have also messaged him 3/4 times after that to try and get this situation fixed but no replies. He is not a man of his work and he will just take your money and run like he did the older lady that was selling the house. Now I have a leaking ceiling but I’m looking to take further actions. Please stay away!!!!!
