Was initially eager to take project and seemed like a friendly, hard working GC. Discussed project scope on the phone and they seemed confident in being able to complete the project. 1st day on the site, owner showed up with many tools needed for the job not with him and said that he would handle some of the other tasks next time. Lots of interruptions on cell phone pertaining to a bigger job he was trying to land, which caused wasted time. Only handled about 1/4 of what was supposed to be done on day 1, which caused delays for the other items on the project. Didn't really offer any other solutions for small roadblocks we ran into, mentioned he would recommend contacting a plumber for some work he wasn't comfortable with even though he said he was capable on the phone, and told me to pick up all materials (many of which I'm not familiar with) just in a passing conversation (would have been nice to have on paper). Tried calling back to schedule next day of work once materials were in. No response after 1 week. Called/texted again few days later with phone apparently off. Called week later. No response. Called 3 days later and got a hold of him finally while he apparently was on a job - said never got any of the messages and that he wanted me to text a photo of countertop template as it was his way of determining if they would fit right (only after I requested he approve the before officially ordering the countertops. Not sure how the text was going to go through if he didn't receive any of my other messages, and taking a photo to see a precise fit of countertops was definitely not sufficient. I asked that he call me so we could discuss - still no calls to this day. An unfortunate and quick decline in communication but thankful the rest of the job was not paid for.

I was hired to help a homeowner finish a job that May Home Improvement, herein referred to as "MHI", started but never finished. The project began when the homeowners saw positive reviews on facebook for MHI and contacted them to come to their home and give them an estimate. The homeowners shared their vision and MHI said they could handle the job and so the homeowner hired them, giving them $3,300 cash, as requested by MHI, as a down payment. Unfortunately, MHI didn't follow directions. MHI set the posts so that the framework of the deck covered a gas meter (big no-no). The posts were also set too close together so that the homeowners couldn't have the size deck they wanted. Then, when MHI dug the posts (they never called Miss-Dig), they ruptured a gas line causing the homeowner several hundred in gas-line repairs. MHI also never pulled a building permit and chose to start the deck on a weekend so that building inspectors wouldn't happen to drive by. Because of problems occurring so early in the project, there was a falling out between the two parties and MHI kept the cash and never returned to do more work, nor returned any of the calls left by the homeowner on his cell phone. So what did the homeowner get for his cash? When I walked on the job, MHI had set (6) 6"x 6" posts, none of which had proper footings underneath them. There is a front porch where there were two 4"x 4" support posts and they removed one post and replaced it with a diagonal 2'x 4" brace that was attached to the siding of the home, which was hardly secure, while also damaging the siding. The other end was attached to the aluminum wrapped header of the gable overhang, where they put multiple screw holes in the aluminum. Clearly, this company is shady to the core. I hope that this posts serves as a warning to all potential customers looking for home-improvement work. Make sure you always ask for a license and insurance before you proceed.

Never pulled permits or called Miss dig. They hit the gas line and left us with the bill. They took the down payment and never finished the deck. We don't recommend them.
