ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with this company. My wife and I had our entire house remodeled except for the bathrooms. We were told General Contractor DK would assist us through each phase of the remodel and make sure we were satisfied as each stage was completed. This couldn't be further from the truth. The demo workers needed to borrow my personal tools. They didn't even have a broom to clean up. DK didn't have his guys put plastic up to protect appliances and prevent dust from spreading throughout the house. My wife and I had to cover things ourselves. When I approached DK with my concerns he stated "What do you expect, I don't think they have college degrees". The countertops were not put in correctly. They were not level and had support bars hanging loose under the island. DK stated there wasn't anything he could do about it. My wife was upset and sent him a text expressing our concern and DK did not reply. A fabricator was finally brought in and he verified that DK was incorrect and he instructed DK on how to correct the problem. When the painter was fixing drips and uneven lines in the house, DK arrived and I could hear him telling the painter not to fix things because it's not their responsibility and that the house had probably been painted twenty times. We are original owners and it's been painted twice. Fortunately the painter ignored DK and ensured his work was to our satisfaction. During the baseboard phase the baseboard was four inches on one side of the house and 2 and a half inches on the other. I phoned DK and he was upset with me and rude that I pointed this out. I sent him pictures and he didn't reply. He did not even show up the next day after telling me he would be there first thing in the morning. I had to work with the installer correcting things myself. DK told us the floor tile job would take 6 days and when it took 4 weeks he blamed his workers whom he called "prima donnas". He even had the nerve to blame my wife and I, telling us not to talk to the workers. They are in our house doing a job we paid for and we are being told who we can or cannot talk to? This unacceptable behavior continued. DK ignored texts. He didn't return phone calls. He didn't show up or call when he missed scheduled appointments. He was obviously overwhelmed. DK would enter our house without knocking and walk right by my wife and I without even acknowledging us. DK rarely showed up and when he did he berated his employees, his suppliers, and even the owner who he called "forgetful". When I complained to the owner he told me that DK had a toothache. When my wife discussed issues with the owner he admitted DK crossed the line but he didn't offer an apology. After finally having enough of the unprofessionalism, I told the owner that I didn't want DK in our home. DK insulted myself, my wife and our remodel. This company forgot who the customer was immediately. Extremely disappointed.

Palmer's Kitchen, Bath, and Beyond is a very bad company and did the following violations of our home repair job: 1. Failed to finish the job under supervision, 2. Did poor workmanship that fails to meet building and safety codes, 3. Failed to hire properly licensed and trained qualified subcontractors, 4. Failed to pay subcontractors, 5. Submitted forged documents to the court, 6. Intentionally damaged Fairall property (4 Police Reports filed and an Injunction against Harassment granted against Robert Freund and Derrick King), 7. Used Threats and stole property of the Fairalls (1 Police Report filed), 8. Misused of the legal system with a baseless lawsuit, 9. Failure to obtain proper BUILDING PERMITS for years, 10. Operated without Qualified Parties with inactive or suspended contractor's licenses. 11. Used false and deceptive advertising. 12. Employs a Qualified Party, Derrick King, that has a criminal record of disorderly conduct. Mr. King does not have the previous experience required to be a Qualified Party. Robert Freund sued me for $3,800 after I paid him $13,700 for repairing a water leak that failed to meet building codes. Mr. Freund uses the legal system as a weapon to harasses his customers with huge legal fees. Usually the unhappy customer pays the disputed fee rather than paying a lawyer to fight it. We fought it and Robert Freund failed to appear at the Pretrial Conference and the lawsuit was dismissed in our favor. I am looking a damages in excess of $100,000. Robert Freund is a crook. PKBB has just been rated by the BBB a C grade. The BBB just raised PKBBB to a A+ after the company joined the BBB. The Justice of the Peace Judge, Richard Haworth, upheld our granted Injunctions against Harassment today against Robert Freund and Derrick King. The court's protective orders will stay in place in order to protect us from harassment. Derrick King was upset and may contest the verdict. I don't think that will happen because Robert Freund will not pay for King's legal and lawyer fees to file a new “Quash” pleading. Derrick King did admit to his past criminal record. Judge Williams said when he approved the two sets of Injunctions against Harassment in May 2014 and May 2015 that it 'WENT TO PATTERN' because of King's criminal record and hot temper. We did experience intentional property damage of a crimped sink waterline when King had possession of our house. It was Derrick King who threatened us twice on 08/08/2013 and police reports were filed. It would be wise not to contest King's Injunctions against Harassment because that will keep him honest and away from our property.
