Con Artist: Took my certified check to purchase equipment and then made excuses that he was in the hospital. We requested our money back and he claimed he dropped the heater and was waiting to return it for reimbursement. Police report filed.

****DEADLY, CON ARTIST HVAC “Professional”****** Giuseppe “Joe/Joey” and his son could have killed my family from carbon monoxide poisoning. May 2018 I had 2 complete high efficiency Goodman installs that took 2 1/2 months even with a written contract. They kept telling me “call us before you turn your heater on” and I never got a real answer as to why. My gut told me something was wrong. I brought in 2 other HVAC companies certified by Goodman and Thank God I did! All the pvc fittings for the exhaust of the units were dry fitted and never glued. The coils were installed upside down and the access panel to it was installed to be blocked by a wall and/or support beams. The electrical was exposed and a complete fire hazard with none of the safety features wired correctly. They used pipe cleaners, yes those little pieces of wire covered in felt for kid projects, to “secure” wires and the access panel! They used who knows how many cans of spray insulation to “insulate” the copper piping for the refrigerant that goes from the unit to the compressor. One of their “tricks” is that they do not insulate properly so that you have to call them back when your refrigerant leaks out and the lines freeze; however. Their best “trick” is to lightly hand tighten the valve on the compressor where the refrigerant is recharged so that it slowly leaks and you have to call them back, yet again. Another display of utter carelessness and lack of compassion for life was when I confronted “Joe” about this. Reasonably, I just wanted my money back to cover the expenses to have the units INSTALLED PROPERLY AND SAFELY. His response “you should have called me first to fix it.” Umm, why would I trust you to come fix it properly after you put our lives in danger; including my 4 year old daughter? Him and I signed an agreement to pay me back the money that it cost me to have it properly fixed and inspected (just a piece of paper, but advised by my lawyer to still do so. Also, his response was “I am a man of my word and a verbal agreement is just as good as a written one.” - Yea, ok Joe! I received one payment for 1/4 of the cost and then excuse after excuse after excuse every time I had to reach out to him. What did I really expect from a fraud contractor thought? I truly tried to work it out with this con...stupid me! After telling me about how his son totally screwed up his business and his “bank accounts are being levied from other disputes,” I told him he had 3 weeks as I was calling the full balance according to our agreement. He said “I am a man of my word and I will get you the money” which is written to me in an email and text. Well, here we are July 2019 and no money and no “man of his word” as he has no integrity to even return calls or follow up on calls in order to right his potential deadly wrong. The time my wife and I would have to take off of work, plus lawyer fees and court fees, to take this man/company to court who will never show up and never have the means to pay is just not worth our trouble and time. I wasted enough time and effort to be reasonable with this con artist and his DEADLY GAME OF PLAYING AN HVAC PROFESSIONAL. Yes, I am eating $5,000 in re-installation plus the $10,000 he got to install because this liar and fraud isn’t worth the money, time, and effort that my wife and I know use towards our family. Karma has a funny way of catching up to people like this and I know it will come his way soon. I will/have posted all the pictures and the legal statements taken by my lawyer from 3 Certified Goodman Installers of all the deadly, fire hazard, and improper installation of my 2 systems. This same review will be posted anywhere and everywhere his name and businesses appear because NO ONE should have to fear for the safety of their family! Stay away from Giuseppe “Joe” Talotta and any of his HVAC aliases because your family’s life is not worth it! *****DEADLY, CON ARTIST HVAC “PROFESSIONAL”*******

I entered into and official contract with this company, around the date of Nov, 1 2017, to have an entire heating and air conditioning system installed into my home during renovations. I was trying to complete renovations in our new home before my third child was born, he gave me a contract to install 120,000 BTU heater, 5 ton air condition unit both manufactured by Goodman with all ducting thermostat and related controls to provide complete air distribution and zoning for 2 zones. The contract was for $10,500, the deposit was $2,500 and then an additional $6,000 upon the delivery of all materials. I paid the deposit upon signing and then paid the $6000 when all material were delivered, he told me the 5 ton condenser was going to be stored at his shop until the job was further along and theft was no longer an issue because the home was mostly vacant. He told me that the sooner the job was started the better it would be because he was about to enter his busy heat season. It all seemed reasonable I paid him the $8500. He slowly installed short runs of duct over the course of the next 6 months in which I had to practically demand he get something done. He installed a 120,000 BTU heater that was never tied into any ductwork and was never turned on. He installed 40 linear feet of supply duct in the basement and second floor but never tied in any vertical supply duct from the basement to the upper floors. I have piles of screenshots of text messages showing our communications. He delayed my progress so much that I finally had officially fire him. He was unable to keep his word with me or honor the contract that he wrote up. Worst of all is that the next HVAC contractor came in and told me the system was designed terribly. I was told that I was fortunate that he only stole $8,500 because the system and all it's inefficiencies would be costly to maintain a comfortable home and very costly to replace after the sheetrock was up and finished. Never do business with this man!

I had 3 estimates done for a refrigeration unit and duct work. Two commercial agencies came in around $25k for estimates, and I had used one of them in the past - it was $1250 over their estimate. I decided to get a 3rd estimate from a sole proprieter, Joe came out gave me an estimate for 15,000 and did the job for $12,500. He did the work for under the estimate, and I didn't have to wait a week for him to come out, he got started the next day and was done in a week. In retrospect, every regard of his work was superior to the previous contractor I used. If you're business runs on a very tight budget like my own, I assure you this is the best option. Not to mention, I didn't have to shut down! Top tier, excellent work, I can't say enough good things
