We had originally worked with Best Buy and their Magnolia "home Theatre" specialists to install TVs, home theatre, wire speakers in the house, etc. What a nightmare that was: unprofessional, never could get the same person on the phone, they never followed up on my calls/emails, etc. Fortunately I came across Mechetner AV, and I am so happy we found Jake! HE has been completely professional, reliable, and worked closely with me to ensure the project came in on budget. Our situation was quite complex, as the house already had a fair amount of wiring and built in speakers from previous owners. He took care of purchasing the necessary parts, testing the wiring throughout the house (including having to crawl up into our tiny attic to fix some of the wiring). In the span of just a 2 days, he completed the Home theatre installation (TV and stereo throughout the house), installed wireless access points, (greatly improving our internet capabilities), and insured all the wiring was organized and neatly tucked away out of sight. In addition, he even checked back with me on several occasions to be sure things were working well. jake is very knowledgeable in everything AV, from the smallest to the largest projects, and he responded timely to all of my calls/texts during and after the project was completed. Cheap, quick and easy. Difficult spot to work with because of all the old home features. But it all looks awesome and super fancy. Love it! Really fits the space.

I bought a new house and hired Jake to build a home theater in my basement, family room audio-video system, and my office upstairs. Jake pre-wired network lines during construction, which allowed all systems to be interconnected. Now I can access my home office computer from the living room TV and the home theater. The home theater and the living room TV share the same equipment (cable box, Blu-ray, Apple TV, and Roku), thereby decreasing the cost of the project. In addition to all this, Jake set up and customized our wireless network and the backyard audio system, including SONOS. Each system is controlled by a universal remote from any room in the house. The entire project was accomplished in a week, with minimal inconvenience. There were no ugly holes or visible wiring; everything is very neat and tidy. I was also impressed by his punctuality, attention to details, and overall professionalism. Jake has done computer repairs and hung our TV’s for many years, and I was happy to use him again in this project. I would strongly recommend his services to anyone.

Jake Mechetner programmed our remote control, combining the functions of several different remotes into one, and we have been thrilled with the results! It has been so wonderful to have one remote control device that does everything, and the handling of it is so user-friendly.
